meet cornerstone

Kevin is President and Co-Owner of Cornerstone Construction. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, he started his first business in 1983, beginning more than four decades of business ownership and construction experience.

Kevin and his wife, Angela, later moved their family to the Gulf Coast, where they spent 14 years building custom homes and commercial projects. It was there that their son Corey began learning the construction industry alongside his father, gaining hands-on experience while still in high school. Building in the demanding coastal environment helped shape an approach to construction centered on quality, durability, and doing things the right way.

Following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, Kevin and Angela decided it was time to return to North Alabama and eventually made the Smith Lake area their permanent home. Years later, Corey and his family would make the same move, bringing two generations of building experience together in the place they now call home.

Kevin and Angela raised four children and are now proud grandparents to a growing family. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys life on the lake—boating, surfing, and skiing—as well as hunting and fishing.

At the center of Kevin’s life and leadership is his faith. He strives to keep God as the cornerstone of his life and to conduct business with the values that have guided him personally and professionally: honesty, integrity, and treating people right.
