Building a home on the water means considering more than the view. This custom lakefront home on Smith Lake brought together thoughtful design, careful site planning, and craftsmanship to create a welcoming retreat.

Designed by Brittany Noe of B. Lauren Designs, the home blends modern style with natural materials and a strong connection to its surroundings.

From Foundation to Framing

Construction began in May 2024. The sloped lakefront property required careful planning, including foundation work and retaining walls designed to work with the site.

As framing progressed, the floor plan began taking shape. Floor trusses, wall framing, and roof decking established the home’s structure, while house wrap and hurricane strapping were installed as part of the construction process.

Bringing the Details Together

With the structure in place, attention turned to the spaces the homeowners would enjoy every day. Windows and doors framed views of Smith Lake, while cabinetry, flooring, lighting, and finishes brought warmth and character to the interior.

The finished kitchen and living areas balance function with inviting details, creating comfortable places to gather, relax, and enjoy time at the lake.

Made for Lake Living

Covered outdoor living areas extend the home beyond its interior walls. Landscaping complements the architecture and connects the finished home with its lakefront setting.

Throughout construction, progress photos and updates were shared through our project management app, helping the homeowners stay connected—even from afar.

A Home Built Through Collaboration

The project concluded with a final walkthrough in July 2025. Like any custom build, it involved challenges along the way, but close collaboration and clear communication helped bring the homeowners’ vision to life.

For our team, this project reflects what matters most: thoughtful craftsmanship, strong relationships, and a home designed around the people who live there.
